This is my second pair of Maui Jim readers. I have them in brown and black and they are by far the best on the market. Bifocal lenses are invisible to anyone looking at you, but they're lightweight, stylish, and helpful when you need to read in the sun or shade. The best thing is that they are polarized, which is a must for me in outdoor activities.

I currently own several pairs of MJ sneakers that have been worn for over a decade. With this pair I got 2.5 readers (of the 2.0 I wore g) for tying small flies. No general improvement. Yes, they are stronger, but the lenses are too myopic in angle. You need to keep the bow tie and line very close to your face so they can focus. Feel yourself squinting your eyes all the time. Eventually the lens falls apart/breaks with the top screw. I had 3 pairs of these lenses and the lens always broke after about 8-12 months. They changed everything, but it's not free, even guaranteed. Charge a service fee and you have to send back. I've had Ray Bans where this has never happened.
