These things are exactly what they say, I thought they were a bit bigger but they are great for under 7s. (I'm not sure the age is older, I don't have any kids that are older!) They are made from pool noodle material and so my kid bit off and tore off a lot of the foam, suggesting it wasn't the fault of the manufacturer is. But watch out for your kids - I'm sure foam is bad for their digestive tracts.

I ordered my son on the street for a summer birthday. There were a lot of kids there of different ages and abilities, but they were all in awe of them. Even the little ones (about 2 I think) were able to hold on and pour out the water. Would definitely buy them again! Some didn't make it to the end of the party, but it worked out. Absolute purchase recommendation and I will buy again next summer.

A few minutes after being lowered into the pool, two children were fighting over one. One child snatched it from another child's hand and the styrofoam handle fell off exposing a plastic hook and then hit him in the head with what they thought was a soft styrofoam toy. I bought these for my kids to play in the pool and they certainly didn't disappoint. The maximum range on them (about 30 feet with a bit of elbow grease) is superior to any Super Soaker I've ever tried, and they're extremely easy to use.
