    Good for recording and listening

I buy these all the time and they are just great. I still use a cassette player because I record things on cassettes. I also have CD players that I use but for various reasons one is better than the other so I use both.

Poor quality cassette good for speaking

This is why so many people remember horrible sounding cassettes. Being kids in the 80's or 90's was all we could afford. They are not suitable for music. They have a high band noise profile and a very flat frequency response. They are good for spoken language.

Good quality cassettes at a reasonable price.

Good quality cartridges at a reasonable price are hard to find. I do a lot of oral history, and these Maxwell tapes serve me well, mainly because of the convenience of an almost "outdated" tape recorder. But I immediately transferred the sound to CDs, in line with modern electronic trends. Thanks for the easy access to the cassettes. Don Norton

    Bad sound quality

The sound quality is not very good. I do not recommend this. I have some of these old cassettes that were made in the 90's and I recorded the same song from the same digital source on both cassettes. The song recorded on this cassette sounded dull/bassy compared to the original. Suitable for voice recordings but not recommended for music. upset.

Not a fan of those cassettes, but maybe this one.

Not a fan of these cassettes, maybe because I'm not used to recording on them. I usually record onto cassettes that are exactly 60 minutes long, but this seems a bit longer. It doesn't suit my needs. Even if I play one side long enough, the other side starts. I'm not sure if they work like that. Usually my other tapes stop as soon as they finish playing.

    • The best
    Cons
    • The packaging is ugly
