FC997 = garbage! Do not buy!

I had one of these devices and in less than a month 2 strips stopped charging. When installing the batteries, the charge indicator never activated to indicate that it was being charged. The same batteries placed in different strips indicate that they are being charged. So I changed it to the second block with Revain. In less than 5 reloads, the leftmost row did the same! After inserting the battery you will see that the battery is not inserted although it was working when it arrived. Installing

Really great universal charger at the moment. The best I've seen.

This is a really good charger, extremely versatile like no other. Well, except for 1 stamp which has been withdrawn. nitecore makes a quality charger but for some inexplicable reason they have ruled out D batteries! (Cs ok, wtf?) This one works great with whatever I put in it, and it auto-detects and charges pretty quickly without overheating the battery. I have tested alkaline batteries: AA, AAA, C, D, NiCad Cs, NiMH AAA, AA, C, D and Li-Ion 18650 and 16350 (with seal). The only problem is…

Pros
  • MaximalPower Combo Batteries
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Update: Caution: Duracell with Duralocks tend to leak after charging. I have old Duracells without Duralock and haven't had any leaks yet. We have battery operated Mr Beams sensor lights placed in the courtyard and gardens. They each require three D-size batteries. While the batteries last a long time, they get expensive — even at Costco prices — when it comes time to replace them. When I first had to turn them on, I realized that the number of dead batteries over time would be astronomical…

Pros
  • Supported Battery Types: * Li-Ion (3.7V rechargeable, 3.6V non-rechargeable) * Alkaline (formerly non-rechargeable) * RAM (rechargeable Alkaline Manganese) * Ni-CD (Nickel Cadmium) * Ni-MH (Nickel - Metal) Hydride) * Batteries for phones and tablets (via USB port) *
Cons
  • Can't remember
