Maxxair 00 955001 White Fanmate Hardware Review

This cover is very convenient and easy to install thanks to its lightweight clip parts. My problem is that a cheaper model that doesn't work with the vent I got from the same company comes with a screen, but this model doesn't work and is $20 more. With no privacy screens, it's a great habitat for wasps and other insects. So this item is not $53 but $73 after adding the screen. In my opinion, this is just a bad move for MaxxAIR.

My RV had 2 Maxxair fans with rain sensors and clear covers. I don't like all the light they let in at 6am so I ordered 2 of these to dim it down a bit. On the roof, I was very pleased to see that you simply mounted it over the fan and installed 4 locking pins. After installation, I noticed that the RV's auto-opening fan cover hits the inside of this item, meaning it's still 95% open, and when it hits this item, it just stops while the fan is running. I see no problem with that.

This hood was purchased to cover a new Maxair 4000 fan that I have just installed. You will receive two parts (hood and blinds) along with the equipment. Both parts are pretty thin. One would think that assembly by two people would not be a problem. nope The tolerances are so bad I had to tie the two pieces together to keep the blinds from flying somewhere along the way. The top slat mounting clips must snap into the hood. They just popped out of the hood with ease and didn't stay in place…
