60 TPI Dual Compound, not 120 TPI 3C

As others have said, it's 60 TPI Dual Compound. Went from a swing trade to a fairly recent price. Good tires nonetheless, I kept them but correct the listing!

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Volume

Almost Plus+ is the best in tires and tubes

I have these 2.6" tubeless Rekons mounted on my Trek Top Fuel with 31mm rims. I was concerned they might be too big but they fit with acceptable spacing all round and have greatly improved traction on my local tracks.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Only available in black

Excellent tire all round

Excellent tyre, strong and light. I use it as a front tire on my Bronson with a Maxxis DHR II in the rear. Use it XC and DH. Very good performance in wet and dry conditions. The only downside is that it gets a bit unstable in deeper mud.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Write later

lighter, faster, more traction

Runs faster than my High Roller II and Aggressor. The 2.6 weighs about 20 pounds on dirt roads and 22 pounds on aggressive rock. They are lighter than these two tires. The Rekon 2.6 is responsive and ready for fast, aggressive trails. Installing them when new takes some effort.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not the best

Great tyres! for tires

I ran these tires without a tube, no problems. I put these tires on a 2018 Trek Fuel EX8 29 XT and love the wider tires for traction. These tires let you run 20-40 psi air pressure and I like to run in the low 20's. When I wear out these tires I will most likely buy another set.

Pros
  • GOLS certification
Cons

Size a little small

Size (width) a little small. I'd say 2.5 vs 2.6 but I didn't caliper them. It's good. This spring was very wet on the front track and they shed a bit in the mud. But they are not aggressive mid-range tires.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Security

Advertised 120 TPI But I have A 60 TPI

My bike came with a Rekon in the rear so I wanted to adjust it in the front for the weight and grip. The rekon was advertised as 120 dpi but instead I got 60. The weight was well over what was advertised so I had to return it for a refund. The rating isn't about the tire, it's about what I got for it.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions
