Much wider than twice the size. You have to cut them. Then they are too heavy to put on the bed frame, if you lift 3 slats, 3 fall down. Definitely a job for two. Not worth the price difference with split base bunkie boards, here you spend an extra $10-15, saving you a lot of time and patience.

I bought these to replace weak slats in my new king platform bed. To my surprise, the existing boards were spaced exactly 3 3/8 inches apart, meaning this entire roll of boards could be installed between the existing boards! It was a wild coincidence and the best possible outcome for me as I wanted the base and existing slats to be bolted onto the frame to give it structure. 10/10 might be what you are looking for.

Bought a heavy size Cali King. The length of the boards is not very consistent, which was a small issue. They had to fit my frame perfectly, judging by the size. I checked. But instead, about every fourth board is too short and the rest are 1/4-1/2 inch too long. Easy fix if you have a saw. Not me. The smell of wood is VERY fresh and strong.
