Poor quality product for the price

I bought these curved scissors in February 2020 to use for trimming thread when embroidering. I've found that if you don't hold onto the thread, the blades will push the thread back out of the cutting area, making it impossible to cut small threads. In addition, the scissors have been very difficult to open/close for about a month and even squeak when doing so. I used WD-40 on an area that felt tight and worked for a few weeks, but now it's difficult to open/close again. They definitely didn't…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Easily repairable

A bit awkward to hold, maybe arrived second hand

They are quite uncomfortable in the hand. I tried cutting thread with them and found that my previous worn embroidery scissors (the typical small straight and flat design) cut the threads closer to the embroidery better. It doesn't appear to be designed to cut threads in tight places as the tip of the scissors is too big for smaller areas compared to the typical embroidery scissors mentioned above. The pair was used before I received it. It didn't have the factory polish, was worn and had a bit

Not just for machine embroidery. Every family needs a pair!

I first saw a pair of these on sale. They weren't marked, but I was determined to find another pair because they were very helpful in cutting sewing thread, embroidery floss, or yarn without the risk of cutting the fabric or object you're working on - it is a great curved tip. Anyway, a fellow crafter drew my attention to Revain and I bought them straight away, so I now have a pair next to my machine and next to the chair I use for hand sewing projects. The scissors arrived quickly as expected.

Pros
  • Curved handle allows access to ring threads and tricky-to-reach stitches
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

I use these scissors every day - they are perfect for trimming thread when embroidering. The machine works and the curve allows me to get around the needle without removing the hoop. I also use the needle point to catch a loop of thread from the back of the needle when threading the machine. I have several pairs of these in my sewing room. They're only good for cutting fabric, but at around $15, you should know that. They are ideally shaped to cut appliqué fabrics without removing them from the

Pros
  • Equipped with razor sharp blades and tension adjustment screw
