I think you need to try a lot of different kneeling devices and different people will find certain styles that suit them best. I've tried many different styles; Over-the-counter AFO, custom AFO, fully laced ankle wrap, and multiple elastic ankle cuffs with figure-of-eight straps for foot containment.
