Although the product name specifically says it fits Surface Notebook 3, it doesn't. The clips on the back bottom are not big enough to reach the edges of the laptop. The bag fits a laptop, except it's a bit odd on one corner. Where it has to go through the Alcantara fabric in one of the corners and not quite, it kind of presses on the fabric and could potentially damage it if you don't tighten it carefully. It's not the biggest deal you could live with. I don't know what to call it, a tiny warp on your fine Alcantara fabric then I think you should be fine.
