mDesign Soft Fabric Under Bed Storage Organizer: Clothing, Accessories, Linen - 2 Pack, Gray Review

We bought two of these, one for clothes and one for small accessories in boxes. It's perfect for clothes. For smaller boxes we had to line the bottom with cardboard to give it some structure, but everything else works fine. The fabric looks classy when viewed from across the room under the bed, much better than an ugly plastic box.

Obviously I didn't read the reviews carefully enough before buying it back in January 2020. It is now December and I have FINALLY found the time to open the package and the boxes are very thin. Only 3 sides are "hard". The bottom is very thin cheap fabric. Think like those cheap fabric storage cubes, just not as durable. What a plagiarism. In no world is it really worth $25. They have almost no structure. The bottom part, which wears out the most from abrasion, is made from the cheap pressed "cloth" that shopping dispenser bags are made of (and I expect it will hold up just as well). The "hard" sides only get stiff from the cardboard being easily bent or broken, the bottom or back has no structure at all, and the front folds down in the middle making it almost useless like she wasn't stiff to begin with…

I expected a lot more from them as mDesign usually offers great storage solutions. These boxes are folded in a strip where the plastic lid is crumpled up like cheap plastic wrap and you have to roll them up to open them. They don't have support inserts to make the bottom flat or strong on the sides. If you try to lift the "box", the sides fold in and the bottom sags.
