So almost perfect!: Radio antennas

Excellent quality for this price. Only one VHF station within range of the house. It's only 8 miles away, but it's a very low power translator (200 watts). This antenna picked up the signal without any problems. It is used through a combiner with a VHF antenna for other stations located almost in the opposite direction. Without the combiner, the signal on the TV was "100"; fell to "95" only when merging. The instructions are a bit vague, but you can work with them. The only problem was a…

cut cord. c Accessories and supplies

I paid $106 a month for dozens of cable TV channels that I never watched. I snapped it up one afternoon, drove to the local cable office with a box full of converters and remotes, and ended the relationship forever. Mediasonic did a lot of research before choosing an antenna, but it was worth it. I live in a city between two broadcast zones (look them up online) so I bought TWO antennas and a splitter (get a good one if you're going that route) and mounted them on a roof pole, one at 90 degrees

Pros
  • Hands-free calling
Cons
  • Minor problems

Agree, incredible antenna at an amazing price

Uh-huh. That's great. Called my satellite provider today and canceled. My two-year contract ended this month. I tested this antenna in my house and got 40 channels. Like others I hung this on a satellite dish stand that was already on the roof and used the coax cable that was already connected to my TV :) That's the bulk of it, if you have satellite don't worry. Buying a new coaxial cable or mounting pole (like I did). Just use what's already installed. I have 87 channels and this thing isn't…

Pros
  • Up to 60 miles range, ultra compact design and easy to install
Cons
  • Expensive

Very good antenna for the price.

Looks like it will be a decent antenna. It's a light weight with a thin arrow, but it's also quite small so I hope it holds up. It comes in 2 pieces and creatively attaches with wing nuts with a small o-ring to keep them secure. I think lock washers are a better choice. I put a little thread lock on each screw to ensure they wouldn't come loose and the antenna wouldn't fall apart in a storm. It's not as massive as RCA antennas (made in the USA), but to be honest it costs almost half as much…

Pros
  • Supports all digital and analog frequencies, supports 1080 HDTV broadcasts,
Cons
  • old

Excellent value for money

I used an indoor antenna to receive a TV show from a local station . Although the distance was short, the ever growing foliage caused some problems and I had to use an external antenna. I knew I needed a basic yagi antenna and chose this one for its small size and LOW PRICE. My expectations were low but I didn't want high performance, I just needed a little boost to overcome the reception problems. I WAS SURPRISED HOW WELL THIS $20 ANTENNA WORKED! II had to receive a UHF signal from less than…
