Excellent soft book. The colors and illustrations are beautiful. It's quite large for a soft book and has lots of fun flaps. On the cover is a Velcro tab with a squeaker and then three cuffs, each with many tabs. The first and third turns have flaps with corrugated material. My daughter has loved it for about 5-9 months. My son is 15 months old and still teething; He will chew on his desk books when they are in the playpen while I wash dishes or do small chores. I can leave this cloth book in its playpen so it can flip through without worrying about torn or chewed pages. This book (and Melissa and Doug's other softbooks) is a great way to get him interested in books and reading from an early age; he even takes them and brings them to me to hold/read to him while he sits quietly on his lap turning the pages.

There's nothing quite like having fun in the car on a long drive with the family! This silent book does just that. Sanity for mom and dad while little ones enjoy the bright colors and fun textures. I couldn't imagine taking another interstate road trip without one of these! We ended up picking up a lot of silent movies and we love them all. Thanks to my sister who has an army of 4 babies I have absolutely fallen in love with everything and everyone Melissa and Doug. Really cute book for my 8 month old baby. We bought it a few months ago. What she loves and what I love about it is definitely different. I love it because it's soft, all colors, different fabrics, different animals, three different scenes. She likes it because she can grab and shake it. I'm trying to get her interested in the peek-a-boo part by pulling up the flaps to show the animal, but she's not really into it yet. Maybe it will be in the future.
