This book (and other soft books by Melissa and Doug) is a great way to keep your interest in books and reading alive.
My son is 15 months old and still teething; He will chew on his desk books when they are in the playpen while I wash dishes or do small chores. I can leave this cloth book in its playpen so it can flip through without worrying about torn or chewed pages. This book (and Melissa and Doug's other softbooks) is a great way to get him interested in books and reading from an early age; he even takes them and brings them to me to hold/read to him while he sits quietly on his lap turning the pages.
