Is the third time a charm?

This is the THIRD radio I have purchased in less than a year. I liked the first one and AM stopped working after a few months. I bought another one thinking it was cheap and worked pretty well. The second one is also broken because in order to play anything I have to play with the headphone jack it is plugged into. I have to constantly play with the plug and radio and hold it while I walk. I can't just keep the radio in my pocket because it's always on. I bought this THIRD and will it break…

Pros
  • AM/FM Radio
Cons
  • Defective

Great little radio. They last several weeks on one set of batteries

Great little radio. This is probably my fifth Memorex walkie talkie, the rest were lost or stolen not broken. Personally, I don't like the included ear tips as they hurt my ears, but my ears are smaller than most adults'. I bought a Craig portable radio when I couldn't find a Memorex in stores and loved its neck strap, but it ate batteries and the volume control fell off after six months. My previous Memorex ran for weeks on one set of batteries.

Pros
  • Headphones included
Cons
  • Too long to wait

The displayed AM numbers may not match the tuned frequency.

To test this I searched for the right AM station but got too much interference (or so I thought). Turns out I wasn't tuning to the correct frequency as the AM frequency numbers don't match the actual tuning frequency. I don't know what program I was looking for - just the channel number. See image. The radio is set for 1:10 p.m., although it doesn't appear to be after 12:00 p.m. I bought it to listen to baseball games on an AM station and it's fine for that. Great price especially as it came…

Pros
  • 3.5mm headphone jack
Cons
  • Negative signal present
