Precise fit. Works perfectly.

We had issues with our gas fireplace not igniting when the thermostat (or turn on command) called for heat. Or it didn't catch fire for a long time, and then a great flame erupted when it caught fire. Put this thermopile in place and now it's working great. Please note that the ease of installation depends on the type of your device. I gave it 5 stars for ease of installation because it fits my Hearthstone Sterling gas fireplace hardware perfectly.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Faulty

Great replacement heater replacement parts

I replaced the thermopile on my flueless gas fireplace after troubleshooting this one. The fireplace caught fire from the wall switch and has been working great ever since. I easily saved over $100 just for a support call. I had to pick out the old thermopile with pliers. Well, open the clamp that's holding it. The diameter of this new one is slightly larger than my old one, but a quick widening of the bracket hole with a drill is fine.

  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Nothing here

Excellent, high quality product. My problem was fixed quickly!

When the thermopile in my 12 year old gas fireplace failed, I was in desperate need of a replacement. After some research I decided to give it a try and I was impressed by how perfectly it fits. It was easy to install after getting the old one out and it worked great (better than the original). A few quick notes: * The unit was well packaged and once opened it was ready to install. * The thermopile is tested well after installation, produces the correct voltage and restores the functionality of

I thought it was my problem...

I thought it was my problem. Didn't think it put out the right voltage. It turns out my fireplace has a lot of safety devices. One of them is a gas analyzer. It's at the top where the vent opens to open to light. I took it off and it's stuck open. Inserted the pin, it closed and the fireplace lit after I turned it on. Make sure you check the thing (I had a lower voltage than this so I replaced it... Just to have the same voltage). Check the canopy vent switch to make sure it closes when the…

  • It's fun

  • There are disadvantages

Install one of these little beauties and we'll meet soon. Many of them fail within days of installation, but they're cheap, buy two, they're small, well, except for the ones that are actually too big to fit in an experimental build, which is my experience accounts for about half of them. . Looking forward to seeing you after trying to save money by buying this useless junk and driving yourself insane trying to follow a YouTube idiot (who has no idea). By the way, look for anything that SHOULD…

My gas fireplace is working again!

I have a Heat-n-Glo fireplace that hasn't been lit in about 13 years. The igniter lights up, but the fireplace does not turn on. After some research I found out that this condition is usually caused by a bad thermopile. Thermopiles typically last around 10-15 years. An easy way to check is to measure the voltage with a voltmeter with the igniter lit (heat creates voltage). My old one put out about 197 millivolts, should be between 500 and 750 millivolts. I installed the new one in about 45…
