Mephisto Penny Loafer Black Leather Review

This is my second pair of Cap Vert slippers. Made a mistake on the first set as they are at least 1/2 size larger than my regular shoes. It was a bit of a problem with the first pair, but since I went down half a size, the new shoes fit like a glove. While the Mephistos are quite expensive, the comfort and wear and tear make up for the price. I also like that I can send it back for repair. Great casual shoe that can be worn for hours with great comfort.

Very difficult to find shoes that fit my foot. Somehow these Mephisto shoes work for me. They look beautiful and are made of quality materials. They are lightweight and should be easy to care for. The customer service I received from the seller was exceptional. I will only wear them to meetings and special occasions but I'm sure I could wear them all day if I wanted to.

These shoes are expensive but worth every penny. I bought my last pair of Mephisto Cap Vert Loafers twenty years ago. Every four to five years I send them back to Mephisto for repair (soles, heel, inner lining, re-stitched seams and treated leather). They come back like new at a very reasonable price. I recently lost 60 pounds and my shoes were too loose so I ordered a new pair one size smaller and they fit perfectly and look great.

Always, always wear a size 8. In my case I needed 1/2 size smaller. Revain has always had great customer service, but it turns out that shoes.com requires that you return the item at your own expense. The sizing is obviously wrong, but shoes.com is passing this issue on to the buyer. They are very comfortable and have always seen good quality from Mephisto. Dear Revain - shoes.com, not so much.
