Broke before I could use it!

I had it and some tools in my hand got into the boat and it broke in one of the notches. Cheap crappy acrylic. So I went to my shop, found a .050 inch piece of aluminum, traced it on the aluminum and made my own.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Not bad

It will work, but it's just a cheap transparent plastic version.

This is sort of a cheap version of the clear plastic Merc tool. I was a bit disappointed that it didn't come like the photo or in the stronger version or in the aluminum version like the photo. For the price I expected a little better quality.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Zero

Sufficient for your needs

This level is quite sufficient for your needs. This worked on my 1996 5.7 liter Mercruiser with a Bravo 3 drive. When I first used it with the manual that came with it, I got it right where the cables should have been, so no further adjustments were needed after the initial install. The part I received is machined from 7/32 acrylic and laser cut on CNC. Maybe the original tool is metal (for people who own their own ship mechanics), but for casual DIY use that's fine. Metal is not necessary for…
