Intuitive version control system built by contributors

I like that it's open-source and self-hosted.It also has great documentation for basic use cases, which are extremely helpful compared to other similar tools such as git or mercurial itself. The UI could be better but most things can be learned with just enough time investment.I have been using this for over 2 years now and haven't experienced anything problematic yet, so far it seems pretty solid! We're using it primarily in our web development workflow and we don't need much beyond what comes…

Pros
  • Easy setup/installation no installation required; you simply download hg client binaries via package managers / pip etc.Easy branching & mergingGreat interoperability between version control systemsGood docsQuickly learnableUI is intuitiveNo dependencies neededMinimal configuration necessary
Cons
  • Not very user friendly GUI interface.
  • Documentations not always up2date

Great free source code management tool

I love that it's open-source software; makes collaboration and version control simple to use for even nontechnical users. The UI isn't as slick or polished as some other DVCSs. You have to download each file you want before checking them in - not ideal if your team keeps large files locally (e.g., presentations). In addition, there are no builtin hooks for continuous integration/deployment so we had to write our own scripts to do this instead. We're using mercurial extensively at work now and…

Pros
  • It is easy enough when used properly by technical people who know how git works too.It has great documentation from Hg Help Center Wiki page which gives lots more info than just man pages alone can provide.
  • Merchants provides good support through mailing lists etc..and they also keep adding new features very regularly!
Cons
  • Its dependency graph needs improving upon especially since Git doesn’t get along well without having DAG

Best source control system and easy way of keeping organized

The best thing about this software for me personally was that it allows you to keep track easily with your code in one place without having multiple folders or files open all at once! I dislike how difficult creating new branches can be compared other similar programs like GitLab Community Edition which has better functionality out-of box than mercuriall does by default (such as being able create custom repositories). Also sometimes when working through my tasks there are times where its hard…

Great tool especially useful thanks

I like that it's open-source software so you can see how things are built in order to make improvements yourself or contribute back when something isn't working as expected (or not at all). The UI looks really dated compared with some other solutions out there though - if this bothers anyone please let me know! We're using hg for our versioning needs within Jenkins pipelines but also have used git before without issues; we've only had minor problems here which were easily resolved by looking up

Pros
  • There wasn’t anything particularly impressive about my personal experience while implementing merillat into jenkins pipeline builds
Cons
  • Minor Issues
