It was perfect! My daughter has a high instep and needs wide shoes. They fit great and are very durable. Holds up better than Keens. Absolutely worth the higher price for children's sandals. She usually puts the Velcro on in about a month, but not this one. We'll look for her next time we buy her sandals.

I have just ordered them for the third time in the next size up. Our 8 year old boys love them and always reach for them and not the other shoes they have. These sandals are very durable. Boys often play at the local state park - swimming, biking, hiking, etc. - and wear such shoes. The shoes get dirty, we wash them in the washing machine and they are ready to use and still look great. Highly recommended!

First let me say that I love Merrell shoes. Typical of the brand, the sandals were well made, robust and durable. However, companies need to reconsider their foot measurements, especially for children. Although I ordered the wide version, my child did not fit in the sandals even after loosening all sorts of straps. Unfortunately, these are otherwise pretty cool sandals! Try the Timberlands instead.

I really wish they would fit my 2.5 year old but even the wide size is too tight. He wears 11.5W or 12W Stride Rite shoes. Compared to the Stride Rite sandals, the Merrells are significantly smaller and narrower. I would say they are at least 1 size shorter and the wider width felt like a standard width shoe to me. So upset because I love the quality of Merrell shoes!

We were taking our kids to Hawaii and wanted good, durable shoes for hiking and water. They were perfect for the trails or the beach! Now they wear them as everyday sandals.

I used to buy children's sandals from Best Buy, and even those who had very good reviews were disappointed - they fell apart after a few weeks due to poor construction. These are by far the best sandals I have ever bought for my son. I will buy them until they are made. Not only are they soft and very comfortable, but… your feet don't get hot in them (so you don't get smelly and burned feet), they're easy to clean, they dry quickly, and they're durable. I am 32 years old, I wear size 6-6.5 shoes. I bought a child size 3 and it was still large. I bought them for the price compared to the adult versions.

My son is very active and these are the only shoes he will wear! It usually wears out shoes very quickly, but these last a long time!

The strap holding the sandal (shoe) is broken. It was over 30 days and couldn't return it. I bought them in April but it was cold in our area and they weren't worn until June. Shoes should last a season (4 months for this range). Also, they weren't worn every day. Very disappointed. Looks like new except for the strap. It's always been a great brand.

Bought these for my 3 year old in the size he is now and they are huge! I am talking about a 1.5 inch gap between the toes and the top of the boot.

I bought these shoes for my 8 year old grandson. They are comfortable, durable and easy to put on. Fits true to size. Best of all, he loves wearing them.

My son loves these sandals and wears them every day. He's a smelly 10-year-old boy whose feet we have to wash every night. These shoes increase the smell by 10 times! I regularly clean, soak in vinegar, air, nothing helps. I am disappointed because they were expensive for children's shoes.

These are very nice shoes. They are very stylish, however we sent them back as they are very narrow even in the "wide" version. After a few minutes, she left pressure points on the leg for a bulging baby foot. They are good for narrow feet.

I bought the wide width and they are thinner than anything in local stores. If you want broad, look elsewhere. I returned them.

My wife and I have worn Merrell shoes for years and they are perfect. I bought Merrell snowshoes for our daughter and they were perfect too. Merrell has always been of very high quality. This time we were very surprised. It's like no Merrell products, very cheap material, the part under the boots is very soft and easily deteriorates.

I have bought many of these shoes but these are fantastic. I will post again in 2 months to see how they hold up but for now we can say they are very well made, hold up great and are very comfortable (lots of support). They look like they will last, but come back in 2 months!

I have ordered many different brands and styles of athletic sandals for my 9 year old son and have returned them all (including Keens). Finally, it's easy to put on, stays in place, and is comfortable. I didn't give it five stars just because I have to see how durable they are.

My grandson loves these shoes because they are comfortable and easy to put on and take off. After a few months they are still very strong.
