Good gloves for climbing and kiting.

I ordered the X Large and my hands are not THAT big. Tries to wet and stretch them. They even put ice in it and froze it. Still a little too small. I mainly use them for kiting with .Nylon/Dacron line. They'll cut through nylon gloves and fingers if they pass you, but not with these gloves. On my fourth pair. I am strict with them and use them often!

Pros
  • Bouldering and wall equipment
Cons
  • Some defects

Sturdy but ill-fitting

Decently constructed gloves Might have been made by mixing eco-friendly elastic fiber L - all 3 didn't fit. A large pair of these gloves provided really good grip on the descents and if they fit properly they would be the only pair I have ever needed.

Pros
  • Sports and outdoors
Cons
  • No machine

Heavy duty glove ideal for canyoning

These open finger gloves are great for bouldering/canyoning when you want a nice thick palm but open fingers for gripping and photography. Reinforced palm skin is quite tough and thick. If you choose the right angle, it is also great for descending - thick skin tolerates it without any problems. You'll still tap your fingers a bit, but I prefer the dexterity of loose fingers. (Not suitable for short descents without a belay - use gloves with full fingers for that. - I don't like it for that).

Not just for climbing! Great gloves for wheelchairs!

I've been looking for a suitable replacement for the fingerless leather gloves I used to have for a number of years. Those Metolius Gloves are just like mine! Firstly, the quality of the leather and stitching is just superb! The leather isn't paper thin, the fabric is durable and I've had the misfortune to buy many of these. Second, my life sort of revolves around my chair lol! In the wheelchair, I pretty much used up my portion of unnecessary gloves and then quickly threw them in the bin. This
