I wasn't happy with the poor reception so I bought a replacement.

In general, this is junk. It technically works, which is why I gave it 2 stars, but it doesn't work very well. I bought this to replace a broken antenna on my '65 Mustang. I didn't like bad reception so I bought a replacement antenna and this unamplified antenna is way better than this thing. I will definitely not buy again and will not recommend to friends.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • I say nothing

Works well, close to OEM. Please check measurements before ordering.

It works pretty well, not sure if it's as strong as my standard but it's close. I was hoping it would be stronger with the "boost" but still very happy with the reception. I was surprised by the size of the box, I expected it to be much smaller. I stick it on the windshield in front of the mirror. If the cable was a little longer, I would put it in the rear window.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Good but not great

Ok, if you remove the antenna mast, not the best signal reception

The elimination of the fixed mast on my Miata was necessary for the look and to accommodate the car cover. Installing this antenna was not difficult: the antenna unit was mounted on top of the horizontal stabilizer at shoulder height behind the seats and connected in the trunk. Reception can be 75% better than an antenna mast. The connection to the antenna mast is still there, so for trips where I might need better radio reception, I can simply reattach the mast and plug it back into the trunk…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Non-automatic

Great product very happy with the purchase

I bought this to use with a car stereo that I have installed in one of my camper closets. I had enough problems with power and speaker wiring that I didn't want to bother installing an external antenna. After some research I decided on this product. I simply taped it to the closet where the stereo was installed. I had no problems with reception. I wouldn't say it performs any better or worse than a traditional antenna. Glad I chose this rather than drilling additional holes in my RV to install…

Pros
  • Excellent construction

WHAT A HUGE PIECE.

Finally got around to installing this. I've heard from others that this type of antenna was a grunt in my past; You were right. Others in my past that I speak of were car audio installers just like me. Installs well with no problems. The pickup is located at the top of the windshield. I just didn't want to deal with my broken power antenna so I installed it with a new deck. I'm 20 miles south of Seattle where most of the stations are. I get CHANNEL 1 and of course it's public radio. I'm not…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Good buy works great for me!

Of course my old Geo Metro antenna broke so I had to upgrade and install a working antenna. Well it was a pretty easy install, I connected the power cord to the power cord at the back of my deck that I was installing, plugged in the antenna, and according to the reviews here, others have said not to install it next to a metal one, so I did I put it on the windshield just behind the rearview mirror and I get a great radio signal :) While driving around the city I get amazing sound from regular…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
