Instructions for cutting out some grommets with a Dremel or similar. The look of the front is flush with the rest of the console, so that's a plus, but the plastic braces are definitely inferior to the original metal braces.

4 stars because it was a necessary part of the install and there really isn't another game for the 2003 Cadillac Deville in town. The kit does not quite fit into the car, even after installation according to the instructions. It definitely works and it worked for me, but be prepared to make some tweaks to make it work perfectly.

I tried this on a 2002 Cad STS, maybe it's better on other Cads. The side mounts are absolutely terrible - they can't support the weight of the air conditioner on their own, instead relying on a compartment underneath to hold it. Worst design. They could have made it a bit thicker and the corners are weak. It's a complex little design for something so simple. Why they didn't just use a standard sturdy frame and snap or screw the faceplate to the existing frame I'll never know. The frame is the only important part of this kit in my opinion. You simply cut all the fasteners off of this bezel and attach it to the back of your existing Cadi bezel and you are done. To swap out the head units, simply unscrew these clamp pins (one on each side of the head), slide them onto the new head unit and snap into place. Then the bezel ended. The product had to be shaved and trimmed to fit my main unit but that was only for this particular unit (Eonon g2216u is another great product too). The mount is very, very thin, made from two flat pieces of soft plastic with no molded supports at the 90 degree bends - everything assembled bends easily in your hand. I don't see how it can handle a 6lb radio and a bumpy aircon. The latest generation Cadillac Seville STS leaves 3mm gaps between the radio bezel and the digital climate control system.
