Fits perfectly but comes without hardware

Goes well with my 2 din stereo. Without hardware - it would be 5 stars if it were. I installed a used device, which was a problem for me. If you have a clean install, your stereo will come with hardware.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Null

Perfect for 2009 Forester.

Perfect match for the aftermarket main unit in my 2009 Subaru Forester. Fills gaps and looks good. The side mount screw holes didn't line up well with my main unit so I only put 1 screw on each side but everything seems fine.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • No

Modification required

My stereo barely fit so some modifications were needed. After a little tweaking, the front of the stereo came to light. but it was pretty drowned out back then. I ended up trimming about half the thickness of the front frame and now everything is perfect.

Pros
  • Great for small homes
Cons
  • Does not fit all

Fits 100%; Works great

If you're complaining about the gap between your receiver and the dashboard, you probably shouldn't go with the stock solution or upgrade your OEM unit. This product works great within reasonable expectations and I would recommend it to anyone who needs it for a 09-14 (?) Forester.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I won't say anything

great price fits 13 wrx

Although Revane said it wouldn't work for my 2013 wrx. The Metra website told me to get these. Worked well, a little painful to turn on the radio without knocking down the bowl. The fit was perfect except the kit didn't come with 3 different mounting plates. It also mounts flush with the dash, however the stereo is recessed into the dash, making it difficult to use the volume control. Will change it later to make it work.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Some bugs

Good product for car electronics accessories

I need this to fill the space between my bezel and my new device. The thin plastic pieces are a bit flexible but fit perfectly. You must use plastic mounting brackets to mount the pad, not standard metal mounting brackets. They're solid enough, but I wish I had the option of keeping the original hardware. Tldr: good product, the hardware that comes with it is needed to install the pad.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Excellent fit and finish despite negative reviews.

I just wanted to intervene because I've read a lot of reviews about the fit and finish not being great. I bought it anyway because it's pretty cheap and I thought it might still be good enough. It turns out to be a perfect match for my 2008 Impreza. I don't know what people have problems with. Maybe they use other cars or radios? That looks great to me. The radio is slightly recessed and the screws are designed to allow you to adjust the depth to your liking.

Pros
  • Quality workmanship
Cons
  • Negative gift

Was working on my 2010 Subaru Forester

One day on a whim I decided to buy a new radio. husband installed. But when I went out to check it out I was greeted with a grin on his face and then a radio that didn't fit in my car! There was a gap all over the new radio and it looked so ridiculous and frankly super thrash. I was so frustrated that I spent a couple of hours trying to figure out why a radio couldn't fit, as you can really only get new radios in DIN or double DIN I figured it MUST fit. Right? Not correct. So I bought this…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
