1998 ACURA INTEGRA LS

Fits perfectly on my 1998 ACURA INTEGRA LS which originally had a CD/Radio with an optional tape player. Removed this and installed Sony Bluetooth CD/Radio. I had to cut 2 tabs along the instructions and they fit perfectly.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Quality

Integra 2000

The part number does not match the instructions that should apply to my car. Got it in git but the mount that protects it from theft is difficult to remove and doesn't fit the machine. I didn't even bother contacting the buyer as it works well enough for my needs.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Will be added later

Fits Accord 1996

Perfect fit for Accord 1996, easy to install and looks very solid once installed. Be sure to follow the slightly confusing instructions. In one place it was cutting the top tabs and in another it was cutting the side tabs. After viewing the finished kit but before installing it, it was clear that for my application the side tabs needed to be shortened. I would recommend placing the kit in the dash to confirm which tabs need to be cut.

Pros
  • Tough finish
Cons
  • Clear

Boy has Metra really gone under since the late 90's and 00's. I have installed many of these kits. Had to install one recently and ordered what I was using. The instructions are universal so have fun looking through every damn car model to see how all the parts really fit. The plastic feels bad and flimsy. The dashboard fit is questionable and requires fiddling like cutting off some plastic tabs and what not as it doesn't quite fit my dashboard.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • High price

Functional and does exactly what you need

I used this along with Metra 70-1720 Wiring Harness Adapter Radio Wiring Harness for Honda/Acura 86-98 Power 4 Speakers to install a new stereo in my Accord 96 to install. The directions gave me a bit of a headache, but basically I just check the fit before I cut anything and double check the fit as I go. I feel the support strength could have been a bit better but it definitely did what I needed and adequately supported the new block in the space and filled the space where the OEM 2 story…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not the best

Replaced factory stereo in 97 Accord - Works well

I bought this kit to install a JVC KD-R200 in my 97 Accord 4dr Special Edition. This was to replace the OEM CD/AM/FM stereo. There were instructions in the kit which I followed with a little research on the internet to remove the old stereo. The installation guide was simple and clear. The kit provided a pretty solid installation. It's not nearly as reliable as an OEM stereo, but it's perfectly acceptable. I connected this to "Metra 70-1720 Radio Harness for Honda/Acura 86-98 Power 4 Speaker"…

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Update available

Not quite suitable for 1995 Integra GS-R

I just installed this kit on my 1995 Integra GS-R. It fits although the back does not attach as instructed. I ended up using a DIN mount with side mounts. I cut the top clips from the bracket as directed and twisted the radio and bracket into place. There are two holes in the back of the bracket that need to be screwed into the dash assembly somehow. Most likely in this case the back of the mount is just touching (with a lot of effort) the metal support bar under my plate and resting against it

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • The list is long.
