Nice and easy to assemble set. Shims may be required.

Worked great on a 2014 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x. However, I had to use factory screw washers to screw the kit to the dash as the screw heads were not large enough to prevent the heads from slipping through the plastic screw slots in the kit.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Minor issues

Terrible landing on a 2015 Nissan Frontier

The radio is about an inch from the dash, not flush so access is difficult. It also looks bad. There is no solution for this. Plastic molds don't work either. Instead I used the metal parts that were already in the truck. Unfortunately, I can't find an alternative, so I decided on this front panel.

  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Don't buy this junk

Don't buy this junk. If you have a 2013-2015 Nissan Xterra, don't waste your money on this junk. It doesn't match the dashboard at all. The bracket screw holes do not match OEM or aftermarket screws. This is probably the worst dashboard kit I have ever bought for a car. That's unfortunate because Metra used to be a supplier of dashboard kits. If you have an Xterra like me, avoid it and buy the American International NDK780. The NDK780 product fits perfectly and you can use original OEM…

Pros
  • There's something in it
Cons
  • Periodicity

Good but has a few flaws

This kit fits my 2014 Nissan Frontier SV pickup. My only complaint is that the mounts feel a bit flimsy and don't align well with the screw holes. You will need to bend the mount where it connects to the truck while tightening the screws or it will not hold the audio head in place. I'm concerned that the flexing and vibration stress during riding will cause cracks over time. I guess only time will tell! It would be better to have an adapter that works with the OEM metal bracket.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Ok but need a bit more

Metra did a great job of helping me find the right kit but the kit itself was a little disappointed you need to modify the kit for your car which I am and into no problem in most cases cause where i dropped the stars is that there are no precut/precut control points or lines and someone not used to cutting this kind of plastic can easily cut too much and cut it loosen or completely break / protrude with years of experience repairing electronics and car radios, I had to quit and take extra time…

Pros
  • Hands free work
Cons
  • No insurance

Not very happy with how the top is not very.

He's doing his job. Installed in 2013 Nissan Xterra S. Not very happy with the fact that there are no screw holes on the top. Basically it's just a big, thin tab that just aligns the top. I had to add washers so it wouldn't fall out during installation. Otherwise a solid and usable kit. There is a problem that you have to literally break off unnecessary parts to install them. In my case the underside of the brackets are for the Nissan Titan and will certainly not fit unless they are cut off or…

The fit of this kit is terrible. The trim sticks out too far.

This kit fits terribly. The trim protrudes too far from the dashboard at the top and bottom and looks unprofessional. The worst thing is that brackets can't even be used! The two tabs at the top of each bracket that need to be screwed on to hold the top of the main unit in place are too wide and the torx screw just slides right in between. As a result, the top of the head unit is not even connected to the dashboard. I ended up using the factory brackets (fortunately they fit my main unit) and…

  • Big and bulky
