Paid for itself: my feedback

I dropped a marine-expensive (you know what I mean) telescopic handled scrub brush off the side of my boat (at the slip) and later an anchor (don't ask how) and recovered them both with this hook. It is a little on the small side, but it did the trick after several attempts. Being small and light might have an advantage in that you can feel the hook as it contacts items underwater. That might not be so easy with a larger, heavier one. Who knows? I don't have or need another.

Pros
  • ‎Aluminum
Cons
  • Can be challenging to store or transport alongside other climbing gear

Good Grappling Hook but poor rope

I purchased the large 9” hook mainly to fish some small branches out of the deep creek in back of our house. The hook worked great but after a using it the first time, the nylon sheathing on the rope tore and continued to split. You can see from the photo that the woven nylon strands enclosed in the sheathing are now loose and will soon come apart and break one by one, making the rope useless. The hook seems sturdy enough but I’ll have to buy a new and hopefully better made rope.

Pros
  • ‎Middle big max grappling hook with rope
Cons
  • Limited usefulness for hunting or fishing activities

GREAT HOOK: my feedback

BOUGHT IT FOR USING WHEN WE ARE MAGNET FISHING. THIS WORKED VERY WELL IN RETRIEVING A LOST SIDE RAIL FROM A BOAT TRAILER THAT FELL INTO THE WATER. VERY STURDY HOOK AND HOPE I CAN RETRIEVE MORE WITH THE HELP OF MAGNETS

Pros
  • THIS WORKED VERY WELL IN RETRIEVING A LOST SIDE RAIL FROM A BOAT TRAILER THAT FELL INTO THE WATER
Cons
  • For myself I would of likes it to be bigger

What a great little tool.

I love this and it is the perfect size. I am in a ♿ and I use it to move big rocks and obstructions on my property. It is very well made with a good grip. Perfect for my needs and fast shipment. Hughly recommend.

Pros
  • I use the hook to clean vegetation from my canal. The weight and size is perfect.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in high-altitude areas or climates

Strong and durable on my review.

Just the right size for pulling limbs out of a creek. Also good for attaching a rope in a tree to persuade it to fall in a specific direction as you cut the tree down.

Pros
  • Use with caution. Those tips on the grappling hook are very sharp. Almost like a weapon.
Cons
  • Can be challenging to master for beginners

Useful Grappling Hook

I purchased this grappling hook in order to drag my pond for tree branches. The 3 progs worked great in snagging branches allowing me to pull them out of my pond. Very easy to use and well made.

Pros
  • After Sales
Cons
  • Not ideal for use in rocky or uneven terrain

Great sturdy grappling hook

Great piece of equipment only draw back is the grapple should be light or made of carbon fibre or a light plastic because one can only throw it so many feet vertically

Pros
  • It feels very sturdy , well made but haven’t used it yet
Cons
  • Can be difficult to attach to moving or unstable objects

It's a 3 prong hook

Got the large size and it is what it is . a 3 prong hook. It will work for what I want it for, which is not heavy items and not on hard surfaces. Is exactly as it is advertised.

Pros
  • I should have bought the larger one.
Cons
  • Sharp edges can make handling difficult

Real Deal Grappling Hook

This is not a toy. I almost took out my eye. I had a hanging pine tree that is still connected to the tree about 30 feet up. This grappled really well. I got the medium size, and it was perfect for tree throwing. On the second day of having this, I finally got the limb down, and it is huge! This tool saved me so much money! I am so proud of myself for being able to get this huge limb down. I bought the median-sized hook and was able to get this large limb down.

Pros
  • Solid d an hangs on good
Cons
  • Limited functionality for non-climbing or hiking activities

Just right. in my review

Purchased this to remove logs floating in our pond. Works great. There is enough mobility in the carabiner/hook assembly and the hook is large enough to grab almost anything on the first toss. The rope is a little thinner than I would hope but works for our lightweight needs.

Pros
  • ‎1.16 Kilograms
Cons
  • Can require significant physical strength to operate effectively
