Description of πŸ”§ MTP Medium Moldable Thermoplastic by Micro-Mark

Small comes with two 5” X 10” Sheets. Medium comes as 1 rolled 9.8" X 14.5” Sheet. Jumbo comes as 1 rolled 39.25" X 59” Sheet. What non-toxic, solvent-free material cuts easily with a scissor, is self-adhesive and forms like magic with heat, can be layered, carved, sculpted and even laser-cut, and has virually zero waste because scraps can be reincorporated and reused? Micro-Mark MTP! **It is suggested to work on a silicone mat as the product may stick to other surfaces when heated. Imported exclusively for Micro-Mark, our MTPTM (Moldable ThermoPlastic) is the same material professional costumers and prop makers from Broadway to Hollywood rely upon for creating the most realistic, highly-detailed, rigid, light-weight and extremely durable simulated armor, weaponry, props, sculptures and more.

it is not suitable for molding and casting

This is an unbranded swirl, it will shrink when heated and when it bubbles up on you (which it will) it will leave a crease in your design. The only plus is that it MIGHT be delivered quicker than the Vorble, but in all honesty you should just buy the original

Pros
  • Sculpture Supplies
Cons
  • Annoying

Stickier than Worbla

I found it to be a bit stickier to work with than Worbla. You need a lower temperature or you have to wait for it to cool down a bit. It also cools to a shinier sheen than a swirl, which might be just what you're looking for. I had no problem using it with a Vorbla. They held up well and the loop end was similar.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

Very convenient

So this thing is a little different from a pre-lead because when it gets hot it gets sticky, less heat means less sticky. The Vorbla does not melt so quickly. Both become rock hard. I surprisingly liked applying a lot of heat to it because I could spread it over long distances. So I decided I would use the swirl for the big parts and this material for the small parts because I can curl it. I'm a fan and I will buy more!

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
