is needed for my Raspberry Pi project using Motorola Portable Dock, allows me to connect Pi to micro HDMI port on Motorola Dock

This is an HDMI cable that fits these portable devices. I used this cable and the corresponding USB cable to connect my Raspberry Pi 2 to a Motorola laptop.

The product arrived as expected. Use this to connect Raspberry Pi 3 to Motorola Atrix Lapdock. The video is excellent. Connections were made without delay. The only problem is that there is no sound. The manufacturer claims its HDMI is 1.4 in the questions section above, but if it is then it should have sound. The audio works through the RPi but not through these cables. Not critical, but unexpected.

The cable has 2 molded plastic ends and a plastic coated cable in between. The cable is decently thick, I'd rate 24 AWG (most cheap cables use thinner wire), feels solid and flexes well. I ordered this cable to connect my Raspberry Pi to a Motorola laptop. Connected the cable and everything works. The picture is clear and without artifacts. TLDR: Good quality cable, does the job

Pretty much the only thing this is good for is the lapdock to rpi project I used it on. Did the job. A little off topic, lapdock-rpi has proven to be one of the best things and I've programmed more on it than on my main computer due to its light and simple gravy. Easy to use and click wherever you are. 8 or so hours on battery with Wi-Fi. More without, but I didn't time it to the end point.
