Most reviews are positive and I was directed here via Sean Cannell's YouTube channel. I've been making podcasts since 2015 and they've been downloaded over a million times, so I know good sound. I was excited to try this boyu, but it produces a trashy, tinny sound. I do not recommend.

I have tested the BOYA MM1 in conjunction with the Zoom H1 handheld recorder and have been impressed with the results so far. I was able to pick up my wife's voice from across the room with two doors between us and was able to capture her voice perfectly. I wish the stereo cable was a bit longer but I am very happy with the purchase.

has disadvantages with a fast level filter in editing. I can't tell this mic apart from a Rode or Sennheiser mic. fantastic value for money. PLUS it comes with a TRS and TRRS cable so you can use it with your phone and camera. shows that the company has thought about it. I appreciate it. The quality was excellent when I finally got it right. Initially, I didn't even notice that despite the microphone being plugged in, the mic was still being picked up by the iPhone's built-in mic, since I didn't have the 3 "rings" TRRS end connected to the phone. I also bought a TRRS splitter (see photo) so I can add a long cable for specific purposes!

I have to start by saying I have a lot of pro audio gear and it certainly isn't serious pro quality. But for the money this set is great! And the types of cameras it's designed for can't support large, heavy, and power-hungry professional microphones anyway. I bought it to keep my Canon G7X III handy. I bought a metal mount for this camera which adds a pair of cold boots so it's perfect for this configuration. I paid more for a similar windshield accessory than this entire kit. For smartphones…
