Love it! Melts glass very well.

Trial and error will help you decide how long to take to melt different types, thicknesses, etc. of glass. Be careful when lifting the furnace lid to check the progress of the work - the heat radiated from the melting glass is intense! That's great!

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Non-Automatic

let cool down!

If you take it out and it's orange inside, it will burn your shit out and set the whole kitchen on fire. Let it sit for a few hours and you'll likely find that your glass project is cool to the touch and not cracking.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • There are cons

Works but the black coating is applied unevenly so it heats up on one side and burns longer. Glass completely melts on the warmer side and sticks on the colder side. I'm looking for a coating repair kit to get it working properly. It's hard to find one.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Expensive

DO NOT BUY THIS! THAT DOES NOT WORK!

DO NOT BUY! THAT DOES NOT WORK! I have two old furnaces like this and I wanted the third one to be able to produce more glass every day. Ordered this, doesn't fit. I ordered a replacement and it didn't fit either. Finally given up. Wrote to Revain to withdraw this article but unfortunately it is still available.

Pros
  • Advantages of DIY Oven: Small and compact, safe, environmentally friendly, energy-saving and convenient
Cons
  • Only available in white

Total disappointment

I've seen these types of furnaces before and was looking forward to making my own glassware. It was an absolute complete and utter disappointment. Even after heating the oven in the microwave twice as long as the instructions say, this oven didn't even begin to melt the glass. I tried different types of glass, different thicknesses, different sizes, nothing worked. Sent back for a refund.

Pros
  • Melting glass in the microwave. Ideal for fusing jewelry or ornaments in just 6-8 minutes. Making glass melting easy, safe and economical in business
Cons
  • Not bad but...

I bought a new microwave to use.

I bought a new microwave for this oven. Simply put, this oven does not work. I tried different colors of glass including clear Tekta and none of them melted evenly. In fact, most of them either cracked or didn't melt at all. I have also tried various suggestions from websites on the internet regarding this type of microwave oven. Eventually I gave in and got the stove back, bit the bullet and bought a Skutt oven.

Pros
  • Microwave - Glass melting tool for DIY glass jewelry making
Cons
  • Expensive
