This lantern is very good for its size. I like the brightness and the white light it gives off on the hunting club roads and trails. Much better than Polaris’ standard mid-size UTV lights. This light casts a beam wide and high in front of you. I think a longer cord would be useful to allow connections to be made in the protected area of the UTV. It seems that the assembly of the light is done with high quality. So far I've only used it a few times for less than 1 hour.

I got this floodlight version to replace the halogen bulb on my Ariens 28" deluxe snowthrower (the bulb burned out in just 4 hours and it's $16 to replace!). I mounted it a little higher where die light is already in place, hooked up the wires to the existing wiring harness and was pleased with the ease of installation, it puts out about the same level of light you would expect from a 24w incandescent bulb and the light spread is very even it would be great, even if it was around 3000 lumens…

This light is sufficient and bright enough. The headlight works well for illuminating low-speed trails. However, the mounting structure must be different. The light does not attach well to the Polaris ATV Front Wiper Guard. I had to buy other mounts. If you have it installed in another application, your results may be different. Time will tell if it's waterproof. I can say it's not Rigid or Baja but I didn't expect it to be at this price point. 3 stars because it's normal light. Update…

This is a very well put together lightweight construction. Castings feel solid. This is of course not a cheap plastic part, but completely made of metal. Comes with brackets as shown and a 1ft pigtail. There are no other cords or switches, as some reviewers point out. Easy to wire up as it draws little current, no relay required as most switches can easily handle the 3 amps it can draw as it is an LED and not tungsten.
