Last night I installed this charger in about 30 minutes. Most of the time was spent disassembling the dash for wiring and assembling the circuit. I had to cut some plastic off the corners of the charger, which I did with a cutting disc on a Dremel tool. Now that everything is connected and tested, it's really nice. No more cigarette lighter adapters falling out! The backlight is a bit bright for my taste, but no problems so far!

Installs next to a 2011 Polaris RZR. Looks great, turns on and lights up. But there is not a single USB cable in it. I don't know if it's the design or it got mixed up in transit or maybe during installation (can't figure out how, we didn't hammer it in, just cut a hole and it slipped right in). Ports are turned off, maybe a millimeter. Enough to be useless. So now I have a nice red light hole that does nothing. Wouldn't buy again.

As with many others, polarity is EXCLUDED. If it doesn't, the charger is designed to stay lit, potentially draining or overheating the battery and potentially starting a fire. The key is the negative copper colored contact (COPPER USUALLY MEANS THE POSITIVE SIDE OF NOTHING!) and the positive contact is silver. By swapping the connections, the Lite will only turn on when the power is turned on. Just an update: low quality item will be returned. One USB plug and the switch fell apart. Don't waste

This is a two pin connection that lights up when power is applied. Make sure you connect it to a SEPARATE power source, otherwise the indicator will stay on, which can drain the battery. So far so good with connections and enough to charge my iPad, iPhone and GoPro at good speeds. It fits perfectly over the blank rocker panels on my 2007 Pathfinder, but will not flush mount. Works very well and fits 2001 Toyota Corolla; I like the red backlight and fast charging. It fits perfectly in the coin holder next to the emergency brake after trimming off the excess plastic.
