Perfect winter base layer top :)

I bought this for a trip to cold snowy windy weather to wear under a fleece sweater or a puffer jacket for extra warmth and it did the job perfectly! I loved how the top wasn't itchy or constricting. It was the right amount of comfort. I'm planning on buying another one because I want to live in it during the winter :) BUY THIS YOU WON"T REGRET IT. Also I'm 5'2" and 98lb and I bought the S which fit nicely, I probably could have bought the XS but I wanted it to be roomy and not too tight. I…

Pros
  • Hand Wash Only
Cons
  • The wool material is not durable and wears out quickly

Better quality and value than Smartwool

I got tired of buying overpriced Smartwool product and having them pill/stretch out in a matter of months so I decided to give Meriwool a try. I am really impressed so far. This top is really great quality and a perfect fit. The smudges on it are on the mirror not the shirt, sorry. X-D I am 5' 7", 135 lbs, short waisted with a B cup and little to no fat around the middle, and the small fits me like a glove. Color is charcoal grey. Since I put this on today I have run errands outside in the cold

Pros
  • Got it as a Christmas gift. Quality looks good. Warm and soft. Nice packaging.
Cons
  • The shirt is itchy and uncomfortable against sensitive skin

Recommend it! - my new review

I ordered this because it was offering two day prime delivery before my trip in cold weathers. I am always cold, even in summer, I will have a sweater or something just in case. No matter how many layers I wear, I am always freezing.I was still a bit cold wearing this thermal but not as much with my previous ones. I don’t think it would keep me warm under 15°F.I saw mixed reviews and was hesitant to order but I am glad I did. It worked out for me. I am keeping it. I didn’t find it itchy as…

Pros
  • Long-lasting durability and high-performance fabric
Cons
  • The shirt can be difficult to layer with other clothing pieces

Great base layer, would highly recommend!

I couldn't be happier with this shirt. I bought it and the matching bottoms for a backpacking trip in the Smokies in November, and they kept me warm and dry for the whole trip. I literally never took them off, and after 4 days they still smelled fine and were very comfortable. Now I wear them anytime we go out climbing or hiking, and frequently wear the shirt to work. I'd probably wear the bottoms too if I didn't wear such tight skinny jeans. As for fit, I'm 5'8" and 130 lbs. I ordered a small…

Pros
  • Comes in a variety of classic and trendy colors
Cons
  • The shirt does not provide enough ventilation for some wearers

Warm and comfortable- and that's the most important thing

I like these wool shirts a lot. I bought a second one after wearing the first on a few cold weather morning runs. It keeps me pretty dang warm in a high 30's low 40's temp just on its own and doesn't feel overbearing or hot when I start getting warmed up. I also wore these as base layers on a trip to Chicago (I'm from Texas) and was pleased with how they performed there too. They do fit a little small, which is unfortunate for the belly rolls, but since I wear them as a base layer or by…

Pros
  • January 3, 2020
Cons
  • The shirt is not suitable for formal occasions or professional settings

I'm a geologist and I spent the summer working in Alaska, most of the times I wore this, it was early morning, or all day every day during fog days. One day our boss decided we were going on a field trip to see a serpentenized ophiolite complex with listwaynites, and then were going to spend a half day in the field. No rain in the forecast, clear skies, hot even. I decided to leave my gortex coat at camp, and take the rain slicker, light puffy jacket, puffy vest, and this sweater and the…

Pros
  • Active
Cons
  • The wool material can cause skin irritation and allergies

Comfortable, breathable

I got the medium layer and it is perfectly comfortable alone or layered. Forget about the old days of itchy skin from wool clothing. Wear it against your body or layered. BTW I am buying another one!

Pros
  • Available in all sizes from petite to plus-size
Cons
  • The wool material can attract and retain dirt and debris

Pretty Good for my opinion

It fits perfectly (size M) and seems to be well-made. It’s a little itchy but I think it’s the nature of meriwool. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Highly rated and reviewed by customers
Cons
  • The shirt is not suited for those who prefer a more synthetic, moisture-wicking material
