Description of ๐Ÿ”ง Migiwata Fractional Stainless Steel with High Resistance

COBALT STEEL - Manufactured from M35 grade cobalt steel, with molybdenum and cobalt added to creates a hardened alloy, measuring Rockwell hardness up to 67, for much faster cutting and extra longer life span, ideal for repeated drilling in metalworking. FOR METALWORKING - Particularly successful in cutting through hard metals(hardness less than HRC38ยฐ) such as stainless steel and cast iron, although they can be used for softer materials like copper and aluminium, too. Not for hardened steel / high carbon steel. Try to adjust the RPM when it fails to penetrate. SELF CENTERING - The 135ยฐquick-cut pilot split points are self-centering and can penetrate quickly with less pressure. The bits will not "walk" or "wander". Straight shank allows for firmly holding and accurate centering, fit for standard drill chucks and regular round collet chucks. 10PC SET - The set includes 10pcs of 9/64โ€ diameter M35 grade cobalt steel twist drill bits, packed in a plastic case for easy storage and carrying. Manufactured to German DIN338 standard. DOWNLOADABLE USER GUIDE - We've summed up some tips of drilling metals, including a RPM chart for several common metals, based on our reviews and some articles on the internet. In most cases, our customers would get a much better result with these tips. Welcome to download.

Drill clean holes every time and go on the offensive!

I don't know which I like better, good quality cobalt drill bits at a lower price than some HSS drill bits. In addition, drills can be sharpened well with my Drill Doctor. I gave one of these drill bits to my neighbor and he plans to order a full set of these bits. He owns a small business and counts dollars so I gave him some of these and he loves them! I didn't break any even drilling through the old welds. andy

Pros
  • SELF-CENTERING โ€“ Self-centering 135ยฐ quick-cut pilot tips penetrate quickly with less pressure. The bits do not "run" or "wander". Cylindrical shank ensures a secure hold and precise centering, suitable for standard drill chucks and conventional round collets.
Cons
  • Could have gone for a newer model

0.10 diameter on my micrometer.

7/64" equals 0.109". I'm not sure of the nominal and exact measurements, but it's 0.10 diameters per micron. There is a little wiggle room when drilling holes in metals, but I don't know what the spec says. However, these are more durable bits made from cobalt steel. But small bits tend to break when side loading is applied during drilling. You're no exception to this rule, so don't apply too much pressure, use a drill press, and use drill lube.

Pros
  • PACK OF 10 The set contains 10 x 9/64 inch M35 cobalt steel twist drill bits, packaged in a plastic carrying case for easy storage and transport. Manufactured according to the German standard DIN338.
Cons
  • Drilling package

Great metal bat!

They worked great. I used these screw holes for my metal building. Through the R 28 caliber panel and then through the red iron. When I started I had 15 bits. 5 from the home camp and 10 from the port. Those 15 weren't enough for 40 holes. I'm on the second part of this set of 12 and have done over 300 holes. (I have to do 2500 total) I'm on the stairs most of the time so no oil or water. I use a Makita 18V drill and run it at high RPM. 30 holes. But I'm getting over 150 per hit! Keep 'emโ€ฆ

Pros
  • FOR METALWORKING - Particularly effective when cutting hard metals (less than 38ยฐ HRC) such as stainless steel and cast iron, although they can also be used on softer materials such as copper and aluminium. Not for hardened steel / high carbon steel. Try adjusting the RPM if it's not penetrating.
Cons
  • Big and bulky
