Description of MikroTik cAP XL ac

The MikroTik cAP XL ac is a dual-band (2.4 and 5 GHz) dual-channel wireless access point that provides reliable 360-degree coverage - you don''t have to worry too much about its placement. The device features a larger high gain antenna (6 dBi at 2.4 GHz and 5.5 dBi at 5 GHz), higher sensitivity and a built-in reflector. These improvements allow you to increase the area covered by up to 100% compared to previous cAP models! The built-in cAP XL ac radio module, as mentioned earlier, operates in two bands at once: the classic 2.4 GHz, and the more modern 5 GHz. In addition to the obvious convenience for clients, namely support for 802.11b / g / n / ac wifi standards, this approach allows you to organize load balancing by forcibly transferring dual-band client devices to a 5 GHz frequency, thereby freeing up 2.4 GHz for other devices. In terms of technical characteristics of the cAP XL ac, it should be noted a quad-core processor with a clock frequency of 710 MHz, as well as the presence of IPSec hardware acceleration - the latter allows you to offload the main processor, which has a positive effect on the efficiency of the access point. With 128 MB of DDR3L RAM, cAP XL ac can be positioned as a solution for busy locations where a large number of clients are expected. Another interesting feature of the cAP XL ac is the presence of two gigabit Ethernet ports. The main port, as usual, is used to transfer data and supply power to the device (PoE 802.3at / af is used), while the second is needed to connect other access points, cameras or other devices. At the same time, the second interface also has PoE support, which allows organizing the distribution of energy. The operating system used is the standard RouterOS with an already active level 4 license. With its help, you can get graphical access to the settings of the access point, as well as use CAPsMAN technology. The latter is needed to create a seamless wifi coverage, which is especially important in open spaces and other large locations. International version. American fork. Adapter included.

Works in tandem with RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN as a gateway and CAPsMan server. I liked the ability to turn off the LEDs after 10 seconds. after switching on. To all critics and newcomers: this device(s) is intended(s) to be configured by a competent admin. Not every admin will be able to set it up correctly in principle, especially with a swoop. These are professional-grade devices and this should be taken into account when purchasing.
