Description of Fisher Price Shock Guards: Premium Child Safety Outlet Covers - Pack of 30

Child safety outlet covers reduce the hazard of open electrical outlets. Quickly and easily installed. Covers outlet to prevent fingers and other objects from being inserted in exposed electrical outlet. Semi-transparent opaque color is uninteresting to babies and toddlers.

They are quite dense, so it's difficult to pull them out.

They fit quite tight so it's difficult to pull them out when you want to use an outlet but I think that's the whole point. BTW, 30 isn't as much as you think - buy at least 2 packs to get started.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Only available in black

Only 30 instead of 30 in each box.

This is for TWO packs of 15 making a total of 30 in your shipment, not 2 packs of 30. I was confused by the photo and the title, I thought each pack had 30 pieces. They are made of thick plastic and appear well made. We just order more!

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • So far so good

Good for the price: Electrical safety

This is a very good value device that is pretty good value for money. My biggest complaint is that it's very difficult to unplug, even for an adult (which can be a good thing). You have to pry the parts with a screwdriver to loosen them. Other than that, it's a good deal.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Tape

Took them for my daughter and son-in-law who were trying.

Bought these for my daughter and son in law who have tried several other types to no avail - my grandson pulled them out as soon as they were in place. They worked! I warned that some reviewers found them difficult for adults, but my brother-in-law says he doesn't have that problem.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Expensive

Great if you never have to use an outlet again.

They are really hard for anyone to separate. Great if you never need to use an outlet again, but if you're willing to at least bend your nails. I've bought a few others and they've been great. Tight enough that kids can't pull them out, but light enough for adults. I don't remember who made them.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • zero

Make sure you want to cover the outlet. forever.

They definitely do the job of protecting the exhaust caps. However, they are very difficult to remove if necessary. I don't want toddlers sticking their fingers and other objects in outlet covers, but when I want to plug in a device I don't have to pull out a knife or risk an electric shock to pull out those suction cups.

Pros
  • Wide Range
Cons
  • Neutral

Almost impossible to pull out

They are pretty good. It may seem strange. But actually they are too difficult to pull out! I gave this product 4 stars because I think it does what it's supposed to do! You won't be able to get them easily. Your child will NEVER be able to pull them out! I think next time I would prefer wall panels that open and close! If you don't plan to use power outlets often, that's not a problem. . But stay in a vacuum. I practically rip my nail off my finger every time I have to remove it!

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable
