They are too small and too long at the hip. They are NOT leather. I've never had a problem with jeans or pants sitting on my hips. I usually wear L or XL and bought these larger ones just to be on the safe side. Jeans should never be worn under these pants.

I ordered a large size which is my normal size and it would be great except it doesn't fit my hips. I've tried 2X and they still don't fit my thighs. I'm curvy but not THAT tall. That's very disappointing. I can't return the size I originally ordered, so I'll try to change it and make my hips bigger instead.
