Card readers in computers and accessories

Works fine - cards not recognized when powered from a hub, otherwise no problems. I wish it had its own built in cable tie.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Can't remember

Versatility and stability are a good combination

This reader worked where my old reader failed. I have no complaints at all. I had a little problem but I need to write it to a new memory card I bought as all my other cards work fine in this reader.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Product works great with Mac OS X (I used Yosemite)

Compatibility: Product works great with Mac OS X (I used Yosemite). Just connect it to your computer and then insert one of the supported media. Quality of materials: As other reviews have pointed out, the pins in the CF slot are a little flimsy, but if you insert the CF carefully it's fine (needs the same care/maintenance as say an ATM).

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Poor

Best Card Reader Deal

This has got to be the absolute best card reader deal out there. The price is right. Shipping was fast and the reader works great to download photos to my computer.

Pros
  • even the old fashioned can understand
Cons
  • Periodicity

SUITABLE FOR SD CARDS Best in Computers & Accessories

Well they're cheap and easy to bend. However, almost everyone now uses SD cards. I don't see any reason to buy something more expensive if you're going to use anything other than CF cards. Take something stronger for CF cards. If you still connect your camera directly to your computer, you'll wonder why you did this in the first place, after the convenience of using a card reader.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Expensive

Poor quality, my CompactFlash is broken

available The pins on my CompactFlash are bent on the first try. Spend extra money on PixelFlash when using CF cards. This card reader works with a USB 2.0 cable connecting it to a computer. This is a mini-B connection, not the standard micro-USB your phone may have. This makes it difficult to keep a cable handy and affects portability.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Update
