Peacocks are beautiful! So, this mug really caught my attention. Bought together with 4 additional mugs from another brand. Since it's advertised as microwavable, I use it in the microwave. I noticed a significant difference in the quality of ceramic mugs. To properly heat the contents in a peacock mug (same time, same temperature in the microwave) the handle gets too hot to handle without potholders compared to other mugs, and I can handle more heat than the average person. There are two coffee drinkers in my house and one person who never drinks coffee (that would be me). My coffee drinkers love big mugs with wide handles. They are also not averse to drinking coffee from a beautiful mug. My husband (bless him) buys ugly coffee mugs when he travels without me.
