Having a flexible plastic post on the back of the earring seems like a great idea. I thought it would be great for my daughter as she is constantly changing and pulling her ears. Metal earrings hurt her so the flexible shaft seemed amazing! BUT it was just the opposite. She tucked the earring into her shirt (not unusual for her) and the plastic rod pierced her earlobe like a fishing line.

They are so cute! Also, the part that would normally be metal in regular earrings is plastic and the back is like a silicone material, which means they won't hurt my daughter when she sleeps in them. She has always had problems with metal earrings, even hypoallergenic ones hurt her, so from now on I will buy this brand. The backs are thick, making it difficult to fall out. I'm so excited, I didn't even know these earrings existed.
