🔵 Minka-Aire F844-WH Light Wave 52-Inch Ceiling Fan - White, Remote Control, and Extra Wall Control Review

A bit awkward to install. Felt the instructions could be clearer. The last line - and now remove the wires. - It was pretty funny. Works perfectly. good stream. About as quiet as one would expect without DC.

Love this light and fan. Very cool look. In the previous house there was one without light, but the light is a big plus with automatic control. Ordering 2 more for the bedrooms. The fan is super quiet. Great compliments from friends.

We have bought 4 of these fans for two homes - so far - because they 1) turn on the lights, 2) have speed controls, 3) circulate air to all parts of the room, 4) elegant /modern look and 5) wonderfully quiet. They come with both a wall switch and a remote control. In addition, Minka fans offer superior value compared to similar ceiling fans.

This packaging is a step above the rest. Higher quality than most, it feels, looks and sounds (actually perfectly weighted and totally silent) like it's better in every way. One particular factor that surprises me is that there is no easy reverse on the remote and requires climbing stairs to change direction. Also a bit expensive. Still a very good ceiling fan and gets my top marks.

I put this light up over the weekend. The instructions are very difficult to follow and installing the control box in place in the ceiling is extremely difficult. Also, the light is terribly weak and very hard on the eyes. I called customer service and they told me that this was the only lamp type or color that they shipped with this fan. It looks nice and modern, but if there is no other lighting in the room, this might not be the ideal fan.

We asked contractors to redo our vaulted ceiling with this sleek, beautiful fan hanging in the center. We don't have air conditioning so this room was so hot in the summer months that we literally avoided it. However, this ceiling fan moves more air than we expected, even the contractors were surprised. The fan made this space livable, cool and usable all year round. The light itself isn't bright enough for our living room in my opinion, but others may disagree. Definitely deserves 5 stars!

So before I start this review, I would like to warn everyone that the body of this ceiling fan is made of ABS plastic. It didn't bother me at all because it's light and no one will ever step up a ladder to touch and feel it. I installed it in my bedroom because of the downward beam of light. I wanted something that looked better than a standard ceiling fan without paying a fortune and it fits. They look very nice even though the blades and body are plastic. I hope they don't turn yellow over time, but we'll see. Plastic collects static electricity which attracts dust so I had to clean them twice in 4 months.
