We use mouse repellent bags when we have to be away from home for more than 2 weeks. Once the smell is gone they make durable bin liners, the liners are thicker than most bin liners.

These bags should keep squirrels and raccoons away. Every morning I have to go out and clean up the trash that the raccoons ate the night before. I think the mint added extra flavor to her food. Don't waste your money!

Do they smell like mint? Yes. Does this smell persist? no I live in the country so some of the food has to go in the trash. I have "creatures" hanging around and when the trash needs to be taken to the street they no longer smell like mint which defeats the purpose. It's not worth it.

Pros: They do a great job killing wasps and birds, which was our biggest issue, but (FYI) they don't repel squirrels or voles.
