I got this roller after seeing a physical therapist using it for restless legs. Before that I used my rolling pin but it had a similar role so I got it. I have to say my flat rolling pin seemed to work much better for my purposes and I think it might work for back massage too - I find this type of roller a bit uncomfortable for that.
