*updated 2/12/19 - now 3 stars I would have missed it if I were you. Too bad I can't send it back. I'm ordering another one today. It works, but the buttons are very hard to press, so it's difficult to use. However, it worked right out of the box, so that was nice.

My TV's sound on/off button on the remote control is broken. I carefully opened it up and repaired it. Worked for 2 weeks, now I can't fix it. So I got a replacement. It works the same as the original when it was new. A large! In fact, this is the same remote control. (I'm not sure of course, but for use it's identical.) Exactly what I was looking for and the price was good.

This is a great replacement for my old LG LCD TV (2009). It's amazingly lightweight, even with the battery already installed, it's still lighter than the original LG remote control without batteries! That works great. The keys are nice and crisp when pressed. On every picture I uploaded, there is the original LG remote control on the left. Replacement (without logo) on the right. Bought to replace an 11 year old 42LH40 remote and I actually like it a little better than the original. It's almost identical except for the LG logo and minor cosmetic differences. Same model numbers too. The keys are a bit more pronounced and firm, which is how I like them. Programming is also not required. Insert batteries and go. No frills packaging as it just arrived in a standard OEM style plastic bag, much like the TV box itself. So much less waste. At less than $8 it was a steal.
