High-capacity 40TB Mobius 5-Bay RAID Hard Drive 💾 Array with FireWire 800, eSATA, and USB 3.0 Connectivity Review

It took a month to turn this into a hard drive. After receiving this item but I was in such a hurry I didn't try to make anything thinking this item would be the same as WD 16TB but it required a process to make it. I know it's an easy job. Anyway, I've enlarged it and one thing I want to tell you is the instructions. The instructions are a bit confusing and you need to put a practical explanation in the instructions book. This external Mobius hard drive is unknown. This is the best price ever.

The RAID enclosure performs really well with read/write speeds in excess of 200MB/s and consumes around 75W when active. I had a warranty issue with one of my devices and Oyen responded very quickly, by replacing the PSU in the case and sending it back to me within two days. The controller survived and my volume was waiting for me after I returned all the disks to the array. For the price unbeatable in solid functionality.

Don't be like me. Read the specifications first. There are some great NAS/SAS boxes in this price range. This isn't one of them. :)

Love the capacity and connectivity. Setup is a bit fiddly, especially if you're used to cases like the Buffalo DriveStation Quad with software RAID configuration. On the other hand, this thing is 60 MB/s (megabytes, not megabits) faster than the DriveStation Quad over USB 3.0, which is always great. Unfortunately it is quite noisy.
