These disposable tea bags are perfect for loose tea. I prefer strong black tea with small particles and have no problem with residue on the bottom of the cup. They also fit into long curled tea leaves if you like. The opening is wide enough to hold a standard teaspoon for filling pouches. As others have noted, these packs stick together in pairs, but that's a little annoying.

I ordered 2 of these boxes and used about 10 of each box before throwing them away. Each of them is split on the sides, it seems that the tea leaves have absorbed water and expanded. With each batch of tea, I had to run the liquid through a coffee filter strainer to remove the leaves. I then bought a size #4 hoping less tea per bag would help. it's not like this.

These are good quality, I like them and they will work for my purposes. I like that they are all natural. Note that the glue (intended for heat sealing) at the end of the flap is about 1/4" high - same as the envelope - so bend as much as possible. folded, the tea bag is not completely sealed. If I had one wish it would be for the glue to be on the inside edge so no folding is required and hence no gap. But we will make it work. :)

I usually make tea in a teapot but sometimes I'm in a hurry. With these bags I don't have to resort to commercially available tea bags. They are also great for iced tea. They don't have any clips or ropes so I can just toss them in the bin when I'm done. I also use them for iced tea. I use two bags. Everyone gets 4 teaspoons of loose tea. I add a few staples and I can make half a gallon of hot water brewed tea, a few hours of sunlight, or overnight in the fridge.

Pretty small for the ounces of tea it promises. I have to be careful not to let the leaves float up and out because it's narrow. (David's Tea Perfect Spoon just doesn't fit well through your mouth.) Also, the bottom corners are sealed together, so I have to pull them apart each time to get the pillow-shaped base to expand properly, which gets pretty tiresome when you're serving it. a lot of tea.
