🧷 Moen Brantford YB2203BN Brushed Nickel Double Robe Hook Review

Quick installation, looks ok, nothing special. Feels a little light/cheap but once it's up it's not applicable. I would never have chosen this style myself; We only bought them to fit into the existing decor of our new home.

Strong, durable and attractive. functionality. The included mounting system makes installation easy. And the plastic wall mount is exactly the same as other products such as towel rail and toilet paper holder. So, by repeating a simple and familiar process, you instantly update everything in the bathroom.

The mounting system is pretty bad if you really plan on hanging something on this hook. You first drill a hole and then install a dowel (barely enough). Then screw the gray plastic cap into the dowel. The metal part of the hook should snap into this plastic retainer, but that only happens on the weakest of connections. If you plan on hanging your large bath towels on this near the shower, don't do it. He eventually weakens and falls off the wall.

This coat hook is stylish and the finish is as advertised. However, it is attached to the wall with a plastic system, which is ineffective. You screw the mounting hardware to the wall and then insert a plastic bracket that snaps into place. I wanted to move it and tried to remove the metal part from the plastic mount but the plastic broke. Definitely no longer usable. Very disappointed with this product because this brand has always been a winner in the past.

Bought two of these. One of them has a bad "bubbly" finish, but I figured I wouldn't see it with a towel, so I proceeded to mount it. The metal block should snap onto the plastic mount, but it's not that easy. The plastic latch broke during the "exercise" in latching. The same thing happened with the second one, but it's a wall. I bought and installed this hook four months ago and hung a terry cloth robe on it. I do NOT recommend this product. Rather than snapping onto a metal base and securing with a small metal screw, this hook snaps onto a plastic base and is only held on to the base by the small plastic tabs. As soon as the tab comes loose, that's it. Broken beyond repair. This is a very bad design and I would never buy another one. Replace it with a hook that is not designed to fail.

We are contractors and had to reinstall this multiple times to get it working. We actually had to add a screw where they had a little plastic clip to hold it in place.
