Externally beautiful design, but. poorly designed fastening system inside! With a screw holding the hook right in the middle, the hook rotates from side to side. So Moen added a metal clip on each side of the center mounting screw, the idea being that you drive the clips into the wall or door that the coat hook is attached to. But the clamps flex when pressed or hammered and never snag on the surface. So I screwed in a screw just above the clips on each side to keep the hook from swinging from side to side. One can only guess how long this will take. Moen offers a limited lifetime warranty, but who wants to call Moen, wait for a part to arrive, and then reinstall the mounting hardware every time it fails.
