Moen YB5103BN Voss Collection Double Robe Hook: Sleek Nickel Design for Organization and Style Review

This is from the Voss collection I am renovating in our master bathroom. I already have these in my guest bathroom and love the look and functionality.

This hook is surprisingly heavy and strong, just what you expect. My husband's robe is quite heavy and the hook is firmly attached to the wall. He was also impressed with their mounting "system" which made installation easy.

is perfect for our bathroom set. It has a small set screw to attach it. This is a common design, but it's better to have a spring version. In my experience, set screws can loosen and become harder to tighten over time. Just take a look. solid piece, not cheap "stamped" metal construction

Perfect quality. My husband was hesitant to buy this online but it turned out to be amazing. We used it as a hanger on the bathroom door. However, it has an odd way of attaching it. If my husband hadn't been there I probably would have spent a lot of time Googling how to install. It's not that easy to just screw it in. It's much more interesting.

Use in the main tub as a towel hook. It easily holds 2 bath towels. During assembly I used all 4 mounting holes with 4 white drywall anchors. I used a laser level with horizontal and vertical (see my other review on this). Looks good with a towel, unfortunately we use two and it covers most of the holder but I like it anyway. Now that a towel is used, the tops of the hooks are open and looking good.

I received two of these and upon opening the package I noticed the fasteners were in one in a sealed bag and the second in a small zip, they looked the same. I didn't think about that before installing it. One installed well and the second anchor broke or fell off the wall and won't tighten. No problem, I figured the second one was supposed to carry most of the weight anyway. No, it's also stripped/broken! I've been using one of these hooks in our master bathroom for over a year. The workmanship is well preserved and the thick hook makes it easy to hang up the bathrobe next to the shower. It goes beautifully with our Moen Voss faucets and towel rails. The hook is thick and strong enough to even hold a bath towel.
